Your riding adventure truly begins as you depart Kathmandu and head west along the Prithvi Highway. This scenic 5-6 hour ride follows the Trisuli River through terraced hillsides and traditional villages. Arrive in Simle, a small settlement that offers your first taste of mountain camping. Continue to Gorkha Bazaar, the historic capital that gave Nepal its name and the origin of the legendary Gurkha warriors. Upon arrival, you have the option to hike up to Gorkha Durbar for sunset views over the Himalayas. The palace complex sits on a ridge overlooking the town and offers breathtaking panoramic views.
